A fire in south Richmond ripped through a detached home Saturday afternoon.
Between eight and 10 fire trucks are understood to have raced to the scene of the blaze around 4:30 p.m. on Anaheim Drive, close to Shell and Williams roads.
According to Richmond Fire-Rescue’s fire chief Tim Wilkinson, 27 firefighters were still at scene of the “second alarm situation” at around 5:30 p.m.
Wilkinson added that the team was “progressing towards extinguishment” and that there were no reported injuries.
He later updated the Richmond News at 6:45 p.m. to say the fire was out and that the investigation had yet to start, so was too early to speculate on the cause.
