One of Vancouver's finest exports to California is the professional skateboarder. Over the the past 25 years the likes of Colin McKay, Rick Howard, Tony Ferguson, Paul Machnau, Chris Haslam and now the Decenzos and their peers have all packed up and headed south of the border to Southern California where it rarely rains and the core of the global industry thrives. Local Rick McCrank is one exception to the rule (as were Rob Boyce, Alex Chalmers and Moses Itkonen in their time) in that even though he's had success in a primarily US-ruled market he's chosen to continue to call this city his home while still continuing a successful career. I was digging through some photos I shot of him last year for SBC Skateboard Magazine and wanted to share this one with you. Maybe it's time to do another Most Awesome interview with him? HERE is the original one we did a couple years back.
