Employees at two McDonald's locations in Vancouver have recently been confirmed as having the coronavirus (COVID-19).
McDonald's Canada posted the new cases to its online tracker Feb. 1, indicating the following affected restaurants:
- 1701 Robson St. Vancouver: Last day the restaurant employee worked was Jan. 29, 2021.
- 160 SW Marine Drive, Vancouver: Last day the restaurant employee worked was Jan. 29, 2021.
Neither outpost of the popular fast food chain is considered a public exposure site by Vancouver Coastal Health.
Additionally, on Feb. 1, McDonald's Canada reported cases affecting employees at two locations in Kamloops.
There are currently seven B.C. McDonald's Canada locations with employee COVID cases.
McDonald's Canada says it has "maintained a commitment to remain transparent in our communications, so that restaurant employees and guests are informed and can contact their local public health authorities for directions, if needed."
"For any guests who may have visited the restaurant and have questions, please take directions from your local public health experts," says McDonald's Canada.
