Favourite memory: Canada Day in North Vancouver.

This annual grass roots extravaganza features everything from librarians with book carts to members of the "fan tan" club, complete with hot tub, but apparently minus their bathing suits. Hula dancers, Sikhs on bikes, youth bands and people from all walks of life parade in unison, all united in their appreciation of our wonderful country.

This parade is a celebration of diversity and inclusivity and truly reflects the values that make Canada such a special place to live.

Happy Birthday, Canada!
