LEGO, those beloved building bricks that had your imagination fired up as a kid and that you may now constantly be stepping on thanks to your own kids, has its very own annual convention, and it’s happening again this April.

Called BrickCan (the name’s a riff on the U.S. LEGO gathering called Brick Con), the two-day gathering for serious geeks and major fans takes place April 21 and 22 at the River Rock Casino in Richmond.

BrickCan is the largest public exhibition of LEGO creations ever held in British Columbia, touts the event. The display area has been described by organizers as a “LEGO paradise.”

Now in its third year, BrickCan has hundreds of unique LEGO models and displays set up for public viewing. Tickets are sold in two-hour blocks, giving you time to roam around, meet the builders, shop from vendors, and vote for the People’s Choice builder’s award. Outside of the display tour time, the event also has opportunities for your own hands on LEGO and Duplo building, play trivia, and more.

BrickCan is one part of a larger four-day Adult LEGO® Fan Convention, a gathering which is aimed at Adult Fans of LEGO (AFOLs) from around the world. This event includes all sorts of programming including seminars and panels, games, swag, and access to the display floor. Ticketing for the full convention is open until March 31.
