BuzzFeed published its bajillionth list today, only this one happens to be about Vancouver. Cool!

But naturally, it’s filled with generalizations and stereotypes and reads like it was written by someone in New York, who may or may not have lived in Canada (which might actually be true). Nice try, BuzzFeed.

What Buzzfeed Got Wrong

1. This

Buzzfeed No No_0

We’re not scientists, but hail is not caused by cold weather at all…

And, anyway, extreme temperatures are never an issue in this area of Canada. See?

Temperamental weather patterns, on the other hand... they got that right.

2. This

Buzz

Totally bogus. Everyone knows it’s either Sushi Nanaimo or Toshi Sushi. Simple.

3. This

Buzz

It's not just during 4/20. And FYI, we don't dodge potheads, we are potheads. And happily take our lunch breaks together.

4. This

Fog

Not to get all scientific again, but fog is low-lying and is rarely an issue in Vancouver (OK, well, except for last year) but oppressive cloud cover, which the picture is showing, is a whole other matter.

Also, “no one in the world?” Have you been to San Francisco?

5. This

Buzz

We are never prepared. The rain may depress us, but it doesn't faze us. And only newbies carry umbrellas. Pssssh.

6. This

Bike lanes

You almost had it Buzzfeed. The worst part about bike lanes is having to listen to people complain about the bike lanes ad nauseum.

What Buzzfeed completely missed

7. Exorbitant rent prices...

...For shoeboxes such as this…

8. And astronomical real estate prices no average Vancouverite can afford...

...For places like this…

9. And daycare space so scarce that THIS is actually good news…

10. Or the Canada line during rush hour…

11.  Or Earnest Ice Cream on any day of the week...

All of which are facts you'd know if you actually lived here. Wah wah.
