Caesars are delicious, and if you disagree, you should have to hand in your Canadian passport. Maybe you're stubborn, or you've never tasted a good caesar, or for some strange reason the notion of drinking Clamato-based cocktails doesn't appeal to you.
Either way, you’re in some kind of Canadian minority, since over 350 million of these cocktails are consumed annually north of the 49th parallel. Calgary, the birthplace of the caesar, has even made May 13 Caesar Day. It might as well be Canada’s official cocktail, already.
To celebrate the birth of our nation, we’ve compiled a list of the 10 best caesars in Vancouver. This list is by no means fair and balanced, so if any reader feels we’ve done a bar or restaurant a grave disservice by not featuring their delicious caesars here, please share in the comments.
Rodney’s (Yaletown)
This guy features grated horseradish, a prawn garnish, and just the right amount of kick.

Local (Kitsilano)
This is one mean caesar. See that boot? It’ll kick ya something fierce, all right.

Bayside at the Sands (English Bay)
Fair enough if you don’t know what’s going on here. Just trust us – it’s delicious.
The Back Forty (Yaletown)
Yeah, that’s homemade jerky right there.
Minami Restaurant (Yaletown)
The Japanese restaurant does the Canadian classic with a twist. It’s spiced with Sriracha and topped with wasabi pickles and pickled ginger. So, uh, beware the heat.

AND THE WINNER!
The Score (Davie)
The Score features a (literally) crazy caesar menu, with this $60 beast reigning supreme. It's a Score burger, pulled pork Sriracha glazed slider, onion rings, chicken wings, a pulled pork mac-and-cheese hotdog, topped with a…wait for it…a roast chicken. Oh, and a brownie for dessert. It’s pretty good deal…
