Its not only WE Vancouver that likes to celebrate the people who work so hard to provide us with such fabulous dining options. Last month, the whos who of Vancouvers restaurant scene gathered at the Italian Cultural Centre to celebrate the 2012 inductees into the BC Restaurant Hall of Fame.

This years inductees are as follows:

Active Restauranteur Category

Celebrating exceptional restaurateurs currently active in the BC restaurant industry.

Brent Davies, proprietor, Sequoia Company of Restaurants

George Melville and Jim Treliving, chairmen and owners, Boston Pizza International

Charles McDiarmid, managing director, Wickaninnish Inn (The Pointe Restaurant)

Pioneer Category

Pioneers of the BC restaurant industry either retired or deceased.

John Levine, owner/operator Brother Johns and Emilios Seafood and founder of the Playhouse Wine Festival

Nicky Major, owner and guiding chef, Major the Gourmet Catering & Special Events

Friend of the Industry Category

An individual who has provided exceptional support to the restaurant industry Äî a supplier, member of the media, or politician who has consistently supported BCs restaurant industry.
