Uh oh. Valentine's Day is here and you didn't get it together in time to put in all your orders and make all the arrangements you wanted to. Fear not. There are still a few ways to treat your sweetie (or best buds, family, roomies, classmates, what have you) and mark this day of love. Of course, you can always pop into the drugstore, supermarket, or chocolate shop and hope they've got something on hand that's perfect for you. Or, you can check out some of the options below to help make a little last minute Valentine's Day magic happen. The rest we'll leave up to you.

Grab some roses

You'll have to be your own delivery person, but you can still hand someone special 24 roses and make their day — and support the growers. Whole Foods Market locations will have bouquets of two dozen roses available until Valentine’s Day for $34.99. They come in a variety of colours, and each bouquet is guaranteed Whole Trade and a portion of the profits are donated back to the farming communities where they are grown.

Pick up an inclusive V-Day card

London Drugs has launched a line of inclusive V-Day cards to represent all kinds of loving relationships. The cards are designed to help more people share their love, whether they’re straight, gay, bisexual, transgender, non-binary, or anywhere else on the LGBTQ+ spectrum. There are cards for common law, open relationships and even non-romantic relationships — cards for a co-worker, a single friend, or a roommate. Cards are also available in other languages, too, like Chinese, Farsi, Punjabi, Tagalog and even braille. All proceeds from the cards are being donated to United Way community initiatives in Western Canada, where they’re helping to build vibrant, inclusive neighbourhoods.

SWEET! Lucky's Doughnuts will be putting their hearts on their sleeves on V-Day — well, actually, they'll be making all their doughnuts heart-shaped and putting them in their cases. Go grab one — or a dozen — while they last.

Send Nudes

Stop reading this right now and go online to Darby's Liquor Store to order up Valentine’s Day delivery of a 12-pack of specially wrapped Nude Vodka Sodas. If you can't get your order in for delivery Friday, you can always grab some wrapping paper and hand-deliver the Nudes.

Grab your sweetie and head to Gastown to snap a photo at the #KissMeInGastown rose filled heart installation at Maple Tree Square. It's located in between Secret Location and Local. If you can, pick up a cute frame as a gift and then tell your Valentine your new cute photo is going in it.

Give an experience, not a thing

We said it at Christmas, and we'll say it any time of the year: Experiences can be way, way better than stuff. Theatre or concert tickets, trips, classes, outings... there are so many great things you can arrange to do with your Valentine — and it doesn't have to be done on Valentine's Day. Need some local inspiration? Here are 100 Vancouver experiences you can give as gifts
