False Creek’s Ancora has launched a new prix-fixe menu for fall and winter. The three-course meal’s ($49, or $85 with wine pairings) options include tempura prawn roll, lobster bisque with black-cod croquette, pacific ling cod with chorizo paella, prosciutto-wrapped chicken, wild-mushroom risotto, and dessert. In addition, the restaurant is celebrating its second year with a special caviar menu that offers à la carte dishes such as cauliflower-and-leek panna cotta with herring caviar, salmon tartare with salmon roe, chawanmushi with lumpfish caviar, squid-ink linguine with uni and smoked trout caviar, and a full tasting of three different black caviars.
