ICYMI…The Kambolis fine dining group has officially come to an end. C Restaurant shuttered its doors several weeks ago, and now Raincity Grill has also notified staff to look for other positions. Kambolis’ chain of casual Greek cafes (Nu Greek) are still operational.

District Brasserie in North Vancouver now has a beer infusion tower, capable of infusing existing beers with various flavours. Look for pumpkin spice and apple pie flavours, among others.

Long Table Distillery, Vancouver’s first micro-distillery, has opened their newly-designed tasting room and cocktail laboratory. LongTableDistillery.com

On Oct. 30, join Ruaraidh MacIntyre, the Ardbeg/Glenmorangie, for a wonderful whiskey supper at The Irish Heather and Shebeen Whisk(e)y House in Gastown. Evening includes Ardbeg-based cocktails at Shebeen, followed by a guided tasting of Ardbeg whisky, followed by a supper of lamb shank pot pie, colcannon mashed potatoes, maple-glazed carrots, bread pudding, and more. On Oct. 30 and 31, Cibo Trattoria will offer up a five-course tasting menu in honour of All Hallows’ Eve. The “devilishly delectable” menu includes roasted bone marrow, grilled ox heart, agnolotti of blood pudding, grilled calves’ liver, and blood orange panna cotta. Le Crocodile is celebrating its 30th anniversary this fall with a series of three dinners that sees star alumni as guest chefs. Chefs Ned Bell (Nov. 4), Rob Feenie (Nov. 5) and David Hawksworth (Nov. 6) will each join Le Crocodile owner and chef Michel Jacob for a five-course tasting menu on their respective nights. Campagnolo Upstairs is offering two holiday group menus that ensure you won’t be “scrooged” this party season. Choose from either the burger and beer or the fried chicken and beer party. Each feeds up to 32 guests, and includes sides, burger or fried chicken, locally-sourced beer, and private use of Campagnolo Upstairs for two hours (5-7pm). $1,000 each or combine both for $1,400.
