Marathon season continues in Vancouver this weekend with Sunday's running of the Scotiabank Vancouver Half-Marathon and 5K.
And that means road closures.
The half-marathon starts at UBC's Thunderbird Arena at 7:30 a.m. and ends at Stanley Park.
The 5K starts at the Fish House in Stanley Park at 9 a.m. and finishes at the Stanley Park seawall.
All roads affected by the race routes will be re-opened by noon at the latest.
Here's a list of all the places you should avoid on June 24 as 6,500 participants take to the streets.
- The Burrard bridge will be restricted to one lane northbound and one lane southbound from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m.. Drivers are encouraged to use the Granville Street bridge
- UBC - Marine Drive: closed from 7:15 to 9 a.m.
- Spanish Banks - Marine Drive: closed from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.
- Point Grey Road - Cornwall Ave. and Kits Poing: closed from 8 to 10:30 a.m.
- Beach Ave. - Denman into Stanley Park: closed from 6 to 11:30 a.m.
- Stanley Park Drive at the Fish House: closed from 5 a.m. to noon
