The BMO Vancouver Marathon takes place on Sunday, May 5 and brings runners from over 65 countries together in an energized race to the finish line.
The half-marathon takes place from 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., the marathon from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. and the 8KM from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Traffic control personnel will be stationed at major intersections and access points along the race route to safely manage and redirect traffic. As a result, motorists are asked to avoid travel during the impacted hours and consider alternative times for local trips.
If motorists must travel during these times then they are advised to plan ahead for potential delays and stoppages on affected routes.

- False Creek / Chinatown / Yaletown | 6:45 a.m. – 8:45 a.m.
- Cambie South | 6:30 a.m. -9:30 a.m.
- Kerrisdale / Dunbar | 8 a.m. – 11 a.m.
- UBC | 8 a.m. – 11 a.m.
- Point Grey / Kitsilano | 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- West End | 7 a.m. – 2:15 p.m.
- Stanley Park | 6:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- Coal Harbour noon | May 4 at noon to May 5 at 7 p.m.
- Downtown Vancouver | 6:45 a.m. – 9:15 a.m.
