Canucks wives cook as a team

With 27 children between them (and more on the way within the next nine months), Canucks players and their wives are acutely aware of how devastating it would be if one of their children was diagnosed with a serious illness. Thats why, once a month, the wives and girlfriends volunteer to cook and serve a meal to the 13 families who live at Ronald McDonald House. Its whatever you can do, says Joann Malhotra, who started the tradition with Sarah Hamhuis. On Monday night, it was quite a crowd in the kitchen as Adrianne Rome, Amanda Lombardo, Kelly Craven, Megan Raymond, Jill Connors, Joann Malhotra and Maggie Ebbett worked together as a team to offer a homemade chilli dinner. Ronald McDonald House BC has been providing accommodation and support for BC and Yukon families who must travel to Vancouver for their childs life-saving treatment at BC Childrens Hospital for 28 years.
