A little ditty ‘bout Jack and Quinn Hughes: two American kids growing up in the Centre of the U.
For the first time in the NHL, the two oldest Hughes brothers will be facing off against each other as the Vancouver Canucks are in New Jersey to take on the Devils on Saturday morning.
It’s an exciting moment for both brothers, not to mention their parents, and they’re expected to have 75-80 friends and family in attendance. Unfortunately, that won't include their younger brother, Luke, who's too busy tearing things up with the US National Team Development Program U-17 Team. He'll have his own opportunities to face Jack and Quinn in the NHL after he's drafted in 2021.
The only other time Jack and Quinn have played against each other was last season, as Jack’s USA Under-18 team played Quinn’s University of Michigan Wolverines. Jack’s powerhouse National Team Development Program was victorious 6-3, with Jack putting up three points.
How do the two brothers stack up against each other heading into Saturday’s game? Let’s take a look at the extremely serious, entirely objective tale of the tape.
