Vancouver's East Side neighbourhoods were home to notorious street gangs in the 1960s and 1970s. In 1972, a riot at a Rolling Stones concert led Vancouver police to declare war on the most infamous of the gangs, the Clark Park gang.
That struggle is the subject of Aaron Chapman’s latest book, The Last Gang in Town: The Epic Story of the Vancouver Police vs. the Clark Park Gang. In the first instalment of a two-part podcast, Chapman talks about his book and the infamous Rolling Stones riot of June 3, 1972.
