In Juneuary we begged the weather gods for sunshine, and ended up melting our faces off by late July.
Of course, we did the classic Vancouver thing, and complained about the heat–despite it being pretty much exactly what we yearn for nine out of 12 months of the year.
To be fair, July’s heat was a little extra. “Overall, the average daily high was 24.1 — well in excess of normal, which would be 22 degrees,” says NEWS 1130 meteorologist Russ Lacate.
Well, now we can go back to complaining in more familiar territory: Clouds and rain. Welcome to Fogust!

Environment Canada is calling for several days of cloudiness and wind, with moderate chances of showers Thursday and Friday this week.
So far it looks like the weekend will be rain-free, but there are an awful lot of cloud icons on that forecast grid to potentially de-rail any planned hot fun in the summertime. Temps will hang in the low 20Cs zone, too.
The change of the weather has some pretty stoked:
I'm going to do something I've never done before: swear.

Seems like a lot of people are glad for a break from the heat (or at least feeling witty):
