The new addition to Pacific Centre in downtown Vancouver has kept Vancouverites eagerly waiting to see which new retailers will be moving in. Today, Pacific Centre has announced that 9 new stores will be taking over the 44,000 square foot space expansion which includes: Tumi, Ted Baker London, Microsoft, B2, Kate Spade, PANDORA, Boss Store, Rockport and Weekend Max Mara.
Late last month, luxury retailer Nordstrom announced that their official launch date on September 18th, 2015 and have now began their hiring process for over 1,000 employees. With more stores opening, we can anticipate higher numbers of employment opportunities within the retail market.
The new building will consist of Nordstrom taking up the first 3 floors while the top four levels have been converted into 290,000 square feet of AAA class offices that houses the head of Sony Pictures Imageworks, the Vancouver offices for Microsoft and the Law office of Miller Thomson.
So far, opening of the new retail stores is set for early summer of this year.
