A local tradition since 1973, Vancouver’s Circle Craft Christmas Market returns to the Vancouver Convention Centre West this November, where market-goers will come to face-to-face with fine BC and Canadian artisans and their work. From potters and glass blowers to fashion designers and visual artists, over 300 artisans, artists, and crafters will present their wares during the 5 days of the 39th annual Market.

To round out the experience, the Market offers additional special sights and artistic surprises for attendees and fun activities for families to enjoy. Market-goers will find live artisan demonstrations from potters, weavers, glass blowers, and more; the Ballz of Fire Workshop, where participants can try their hand at designing and creating a blown glass Christmas ornament; entertainment by local dance and music groups; a student art exhibit featuring artwork from lower mainland secondary schools and Arts Umbrella; and the opportunity to win a $1000 Shopping Spree at the Market.
An exciting new addition to this year’s Market is the first annual Circle Craft Fashion Show, where designers and fashion artisans will hit the runway in style. Featuring the best pieces from over 50 designers exhibiting at this year’s Market, including local talent fiveleft leather, Adhesif Clothing, and Chloë Angus Designs, these shows will offer an excellent preview of the fashionable items available to buy.
This year’s Circle Craft Christmas Market takes place November 7-11, 2012. Tickets are $10 online and $12 at the door for general admission, with additional savings for students and seniors. There is also a 2-for-1 deal available after 5pm on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday only. Initial ticket purchases entitle the holder to unlimited re-entry.
