From Earth Week events to a dental health fair, there's something for everyone this weekend in Richmond.

1. City-wide Earth Week activities

Date: Now until April 29
Location: Across Richmond

The City of Richmond is celebrating Earth Week with 30 free and low-cost, family-friendly activities across the city.

The event lineup ranges from pulling invasive species at King George Park to a session at Richmond Nature Park on how to use food scraps to create nutrient-rich soil.

A hands-on expert demonstration will also take place at Paulik Park to help gardeners of all levels boost their gardening skills.

2. Spring pottery sale

Date: Friday, April 25 to Sunday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Location: Richmond Arts Centre Annex, 7660 Minoru Gate

The Richmond Potters Club is hosting its spring pottery sale in collaboration with the Weavers and Spinners Guild and Gem and Mineral Society this weekend.

Cash, debit and credit cards all accepted.

There will also be food trucks throughout the weekend.

3. Mini book sale

Date: Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Location: Richmond Public Library, Cambie Branch, 150-11590 Cambie Rd.

The Friends of the Richmond Library is hosting another mini book sale this weekend.

Expect lightly used to almost new books with genres ranging from fiction and non-fiction to cooking and children's books.

All proceeds from the sale will benefit Richmond public libraries. Please bring cash and bags or boxes for your books.

4. Annual shred event

Date: Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: South Arm United Church parking lot, 11051 No. 3 Rd.

Heart of Richmond AIDS Society is hosting its annual shred event fundraiser.

The rain or shine event will accept bags and boxes ($10 each) for shredding from the community.

5. Catalytic converter etching

Date: Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: Canadian Tire Ironwood, 11388 Steveston Hwy.

Richmond RCMP is hosting a free catalytic converter etching event for car owners to deter the theft.

The event is first-come, first-served at the Canadian Tire in Ironwood Plaza.

6. Habitat restoration

Date: Sunday, April 27, from 9:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Location: King George Park,  4100 No. 5 Rd.

Join Green Teams of Canada's Lower Mainland Green Team and the City of Richmond to remove invasive Himalayan blackberry bushes and clean up King George Park.

No experience is needed. Instructions, tools, gloves and snacks will be provided.

7. Dental health fair

Date: Sunday, April 27, from 12 to 4 p.m.
Location: Aberdeen Centre, 4151 Hazelbridge Way

Chinese Canadian Dental Society of B.C. is hosting free children's oral screening, interactive adult oral imaging, table clinics and demonstrations.

There will be free prizes.

Volunteer dentists, hygienists and UBC dental students will also be available for questions.
