The Aurora Winter Festival opens this Thursday, Nove. 22 in Vancouver and promises to delight guests with whimsical enchantment.
While there are a number of holiday festivals in the city, none offer the sheer number of activities that Aurora does. From a frozen river to dazzling light displays, a soaring 60 foot ferris wheel to a 200 foot long slide, Canada's largest winter festival has some impressive offerings.
What's more, the festival transports guests into four mystical worlds. In Disco World they'll explore giant animal sculptures, a yeti cave, and an LED dance floor. In contrast, the Arctic Retreat takes guests into a chilly wonderland that features breathtaking ice sculptures, electric orbs, and icicles scattered throughout.
The Luminous Gardens are filled with beautiful weeping willows and other gardens, and lucky visitors may even spot a unicorn. Similarly, the Whimsical Forest is home to gnomes, a gingerbread hut and even a cunning fox.
The festival offers delectable food gardens, market gardens, live entertainment, and even a festive choo-choo train.
