I always just wrote this off as some Japanese book store with a silly name. WHY DON'T YOU JUST BOOK OFF!?!?!?! Nope..It's much more than that. Book Off which is located 636 Hornby st. is one of the biggest second hand bookstores in the world, with locations in such places as LA, Tokyo, Paris, and Seoul. One of the biggest complaints of buying used books is how thrashed they can be. Book Off has innovated a method where the edge of the pages is very thinly cut making the book virtually new!
The company is so successful in Japan they have branched out into other markets selling houseware: Home Off, videogames: Game Off, and my favourite hardware: Hard Off.
