The big top is coming back to Vancouver this fall.
Cirque du Soleil has announced it will return to its usual lot on False Creek with its big tent and a new show called Echo.
"Fuelled by the power of change, the hope of the youth, and the value of empathy, Echo follows an inquisitive young woman named Future as she wanders into a fantasy world that explores our sacred bond with animals and nature," states the Canadian circus company in a press release.
This is the circus's 20th big top show and will feature a vertical ballet scene, a contortionist and "never-before-seen acrobatic feats."
Echo is currently preparing to open in Miami, before heading to Toronto and Gatineau. Vancouver appears to be its fourth stop with dates from Oct. 9 to Dec. 15, 2024 according to the press release.
Tickets are on sale already for the Vancouver dates for members of the Cirque Club (a free club anyone can join at any time). For the general public, they'll go on sale on March 4. Tickets will start at $44 (before fees and taxes).
