Earlier this week I wrote THIS post about my experience "at" TED 2013, and was brimming with excitement this morning as I attended an event at the Vancouver Convention Centre West. The curator of TED, Chris Anderson, spoke in front of a group of media and supporters, discussing the future of TED in Vancouver. The Canadian Tourism Commission's Greg Klassen, BC Minister of State for Small Business Naomi Yamamoto, Mayor Gregor Robertson and Tourism Vancouver CEO Rick Antonson (whom I introduced you to HERE), also shared the stage, giving insight as to how it all went down and expressing their excitement and the positive impact that bringing TED will have not only on our city but also our country, and the world.
When asked "Why Vancouver?" here's what Chris had to say (note that at the 0:12 mark he's turning around and looking out at the North Shore mountains)...
Later today I'll be sharing some thoughts from another one of the special guests at the event, not pictured here because he unable to physically attend and was beamed in remotely.
