Fans of superhero flicks will find no shortage of film sets in Vancouver that feature several of Hollywood's most popular actors.
While a variety of movies and TV shows are filming in the Lower Mainland, three major superhero series are currently filming in the city right now.
On Tuesday night through Wednesday morning, popular actress Javicia Leslie will perform stunt scenes in the alley at 500 West Pender Street for her starring role in the CW show Batwoman.
The scenes call for "exterior dialogue, fight, and driving scene," as well as atmospheric smoke and exposed weapons, explains a resident notification letter from Renraw Production Inc.
Police will assist with intermittent traffic control and street closures.
Similarly, Batwoman will also shoot an exterior scene in the 500 Block of Granville Street and the nearby alley. Actors will reportedly be discovering a box in the scene and there will be atmospheric smoke.
Another downtown Vancouver location for #Batwoman this week. Filming an exterior scene in the 500 Block of Granville Street and the nearby alley. Very early morning on Wednesday if the times on this notice are correct. @olv pic.twitter.com/b8tUXwPq5C

Vancouver film: Superhero TV shows and movies
Several other superhero TV shows are also shooting in Metro Vancouver, including Superman & Lois. The TV show features Superman, a.k.a. Clark Kent, and journalist Lois Lane as they face the challenges of being parents in today's world--as well as some superhero stuff, of course.
The Superman & Lois set was spotted in Cloverdale, as well as the set of Peacemaker, which is a Suicide Squad spin-off show starring John Cena. The eight-episode series will air on HBO in 2022 and "will explore the origins of the character that Cena will play in the upcoming film, a man who believes in peace at any cost — no matter how many people he has to kill to get it."
Have a look at some of the superhero-inspired sets around the Lower Mainland.

Fans share videos of film set in Robson Square
Fans recently shared pictures and videos on social media from the set of The Flash -- a Warner Brothers TV show -- when it filmed in Robson Square.
Previously, the show filmed its 150th episode in Vancouver on May 8. The Georgia Viaduct was closed for filming from 5 a.m. until 11 p.m. and Vancouver Police were on scene to help with intermittent traffic control.
Now in its seventh season, The Flash is about a superhero who assumes his awesome powers after being struck by lightning. IMDb.com explains how the protagonist "Barry Allen wakes up from his coma to discover he's been given the power of super speed, becoming the next Flash, fighting crime in Central City."
