Rogers Arena will be rocking hard on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
The longtime alt-metal group Evanescence will be headlining a trio of female-led hard-rock groups from the U.S. and Mexico with a Vancouver stop on their current tour.
Evanescence first caught mainstream success more than 20 years ago with "Bring Me To Life," which rocketed them to the top of charts all over the world.
The album Fallen, which also had singles "Going Under" and "My Immortal," peaked at number one on the Canadian charts; the next two albums both peaked at number two, turning lead singer Amy Lee into a world-famous rockstar.
Since 2012, they've only released two more studio albums, both of which broke the top 20 in Canada. Their last album, The Bitter Truth, was released in 2021.
Also on the bill with Evanescence are Halestrom, led by Lzzy Hale (whose brother Arejay is the drummer), and The Warning, a trio of sisters from Monterrey, Mexico.
Gates at Rogers open at 7 p.m. for the concert.
Tickets
This show is nearly sold out on TicketMaster. Only a handful of tickets are left, and there are no deals. Those wanting to go to this show will have to shell out close to $300.
Even then, it might be hard to come by a ticket. The only positive may be that pit tickets and seats further back are about the same price right now, so price won't be a determining factor in choosing where to sit.
Transportation
TransLink doesn't have any significant transit alerts listed at this point for Tuesday night.
Hullo Ferries has an extra late sailing scheduled for Oct. 15, leaving the Vancouver harbour at 11:55 p.m. bound for Nanaimo for people attending the concert.
Restrictions
A few things aren't allowed in Rogers Arena for the show. Notably, some bags won't be permitted; all bags need to be under 35.5 cm by 35.5 cm by 15.2 cm. For reference, 35.5 cm is just a bit over 13 inches.
Rogers Arena is also a smoke-free zone, as far as cigarettes and cannabis are concerned. The band may have smoke machines.
Other common-sense items, like skateboards, selfie sticks and outside food and drinks, should be left at home.
Cashless venue
Rogers Arena has gone cashless.
"Concession, retail stands, and hospitality will exclusively accept contactless forms of payment," states the venue's website.
Fan service
Rogers Arena has a fan service number to text if there are any issues during the show: 604-765-3267.
Concert-goers can text their issue and their location (seat number and row along with the section) and get help.
