A relative newcomer to mainstream American folk music, Noah Kahan has built a huge following over the last five years.
Raised on a Vermont farm, the 27-year-old has had a series of hits off his last two albums, following in the footsteps of Cat Stevens, Paul Simon and, more recently, Mumford and Sons.
He's currently on his We'll All Be Here Forever Tour, and Vancouver is his first North American date on this leg; he's just gotten back from a tour of Europe.
Opening for Kahan is Jensen McRae, also an American singer-songwriter known for songs like "White Boy" and "Wolves."
Doors for the March 26 concert open at 6:30 p.m. with the show at 8 p.m., according to Rogers Arena's site.
Tickets
The show has sold out on Ticketmaster; in fact, according to Kahan's site, all of his Canadian dates are sold out (although the Sommo Festival in PEI in September still has some spots). StubHub does list a couple tickets for sale; they're often singles, going for hundreds of dollars, and going fast.
Tickets must have the moving barcode; screenshots are not allowed.
Transportation
TransLink doesn't have any major transit service alerts for SkyTrain or SeaBus routes on Tuesday night at time of publishing.
Hullo does have an extra sailing for Vancouver Island fans, leaving the Vancouver dock at 11:55 p.m.
Restrictions
A few things aren't allowed in Rogers Arena for the show. Notably, some bags won't be permitted; all bags need to be under 35.5 cm by 35.5 cm by 15.2 cm. For reference, 35.5 cm is just a bit over 13 inches.
Rogers Arena is also a smoke-free zone, as far as cigarettes and cannabis are concerned. The band may have smoke machines.
Other common-sense items, like skateboards, selfie sticks and outside food and drinks, should be left at home.
Cashless venue
Rogers Arena has gone cashless.
"Concession, retail stands, and hospitality will exclusively accept contactless forms of payment," states the venue's website.
Fan service
Rogers Arena has a fan service number to text if there are any issues during the show: 604-765-3267.
Concert-goers can text their issue and their location (seat number and row along with the section) and get help.
