Jazz at the Park

I so look forward to the Canada Day weekend at David Lam park during the Jazz Festival. Normally, its a gorgeous place to have a gig and its normally gorgeous weather. Ha, last weekend seemed like so long ago, eh? Well, least it didnt rain. I caught Hey Ocean! and Five Alarm Funk last Sunday, Jul. 4 at David Lam. Ashleigh Ball's voice sounded really good and very personable over the nice lush grass and the Five Alarm goofballs of endless energy tore the roof off as usual. Special shouts to Five Alarm for their badass 3 person dance routine that consisted of the left and right guy going upwards while the guy in the middle went downwards....kinda like a piston dance or something. And this little diddy below of the Final Countdown to close out another dope festival. Oh, yeah, and....we need to utilize this park more than once a year!
