Dozens of funny folks will be headed to Vancouver in February.
Just For Laughs Vancouver has announced the lineup for the 2025 festival which will take place around Vancouver. Headliner Jerry Seinfeld was announced last week, but now 40 more acts have been revealed.
Among the performers taking part are Pete Holmes (who recently starred in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever and has five comedy specials along with a long-running podcast) and Kumail Nanjiani (who has shown up in everything from Silicon Valley to the Marvel film Eternals to the recent season of Only Murders In the Building).
Also on the schedule, this year is long-time stand-up Margaret Cho, The Daily Show correspondent Roy Wood Jr., and Sugar Sammy (who's gained a worldwide following thanks in part to speaking four languages fluently).
Other big names heading to Vancouver stages include a show by the Basement Yard podcast, Nurse John, UpDating, and Two Idiot Girls.
Plenty of stand-up comedians are on their way well, including Tim Dillon, Maz Jobrani, Ashley Gavin, Sofia Nino de Rivera, Rene Vaca, Jason Cheny, Tatanka Means, Sabrina Wu, Sarah Pascoe, and Sam Jay.
Shows will be taking place at many Vancouver venues, including the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, the Vancouver Playhouse, the Commodore Ballroom, the Biltmore Cabaret and the Rio.
Presale tickets have already gone on sale for the festival, with general sales starting Dec. 13 at 10 a.m., except for the Basement Yard show which will start on Dec. 17.
This will be the first Just For Laughs festival to take place in Canada since the beleaguered organization declared bankruptcy and was purchased by ComediHa last year.
