Last year, the popular family-friendly destination kicked things off with a public celebration when they flipped the switch the set the lights glowing for the season.
This year’s kick-off event will take place entirely outdoors, so visitors should dress in warm clothing and waterproof, durable footwear as they take in all the festivities, cautions Coquitlam officials. The merriment includes live entertainment on two stages food trucks, roving entertainers, buskers, family crafts, and more. A full schedule is available online.
Attendees are encouraged to take the Evergreen Line to the kick-off event.
