Have you spotted a film set in the city lately?
Metro Vancouverites are sharing images and videos from multiple film sets around the region.
Locals took to Twitter on Wednesday (Aug. 18) to share images from the set of a new Apple TV series entitled Surface outside of Chambar — a restaurant located at 568 Beatty St in Vancouver.
The psychological thriller features The Morning Show star Gugu Mbatha-Raw, according to Deadline.
A local woman shared a sweeping image of several vehicles lined up at the film set outside of the restaurant.
Another woman shared a perspective from the ground of the film set, which shows several people huddled under umbrellas in an area cordoned off with pylons.
Testing for COVID-19 on set
A New Westminster resident shared a video of the area where cast and crew were being tested for COVID-19.
He also shared a couple of images of people getting tested, noting that they appeared to be getting tested often.
In a third image, Surface star Oliver Jackson is featured in a grey suit.
Other filming locations around Metro Vancouver
Paul Orazietti, Executive Director of the Cloverdale Business Improvement Association, shared a video of a film set outside his office. He commented that it is "hard to get back to work when this is happening out front of your office."
Police officers are featured in the scene holding guns outside of a vehicle with lighting equipment in the background.
Orazietti added that he was still "looking around for a superhero."
Yellowjackets will be filming in downtown Vancouver from Thursday to Saturday this week at Finch's Tea House and Holy Rosary Hall.
The Showtime drama stars Christina Ricci (The Adams Family, Sleepy Hollow) and is about a talented group of teenage soccer players who survive a brutal plane crash in the remote wilderness, according to Deadline.
