The rapper who first popularized fusing his beats with a bit of country flavour will electrify the crowd at Rogers Arena tonight.
American hip-hop star Nelly brings his Country Grammar to Vancouver with co-headliner, rapper Ja-Rule, on Thursday, April 24.
The two rappers rose to fame in the 2000s, topping the charts with catchy hooks and melodic beats. Ja Rule is known for popular collaborations with songstresses, including Kelly Rowland of Destiny's Child, Ashanti, and Jennifer Lopez.
Nelly alone had three top-three albums in Canada from 2002 to 2004, and that doesn't include his breakout album, Country Grammar, with hits like "Ride With Me" and "Batter Up."
The Nelly with Ja Rule & Special Guests: Where The Party At Tour also features unknown "special guests," Nelly's group the St. Lunatics, and rapper Chingy.
The tour includes 54 dates around the U.S., Europe, New Zealand, Australia, and Canada.
