It's not hard to find plant-based options in Vancouver, whether you're dining out or shopping for skin care.
The city's many pop-up shops and farmers markets reflect Vancouver's support for local, handmade goods, including plant-based and sustainable vendors.
Vancouver also sees many plant-based markets and festivals throughout the year, including a vegan night market and a massive plant-based convention.
This plant-based market is a new addition to this year's lineup.
Soul Veg market is coming up on Aug. 27 at one of Vancouver's waterfront parks. "We are a new plant-based market wanting to feature B.C.'s best artisans. We are looking for local potters, jewellers, glass makers, cruelty-free skin care and food creators, and more!" they announced on their Instagram.
The market featuring over 25 plant-based artisans and food trucks will also have free activities and entertainment, including bouncy castles, jumbo dual lane slides, free caricature portraits, a teen archery arena and free outdoor yoga.
Plant-based vendors will range from donuts and masala to jewelry and ceramics, as well as locally screen-printed merchandise. The on-site food truck will also have plant-based burgers and shakes.
The annual market will initiate Festival of India's two-day celebrations.
