Summertime and the living is easy - especially when you're enjoying a movie under the stars with a tasty beverage in a beautiful waterfront park.
The New Westminster Outdoor Summer Series returns this July with open air cinema on Friday evenings throughout the month at various city parks.
Now, residents can enjoy the first adult-only movie experience in the New Westminster Pier Park on July 26. Extended hours will be available at Eats Concession from 8:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. with food and liquor sales.
All of the movies will be projected on a giant, 16' inch inflatable movie screen and admission is free.
Earlier this spring, the City of New Westminster polled residents to determine which movies should play in each of the parks. The results have been tallied, and the final Friday schedule will offer the following films:
- July 5 at Port Royal Park: The Emperor’s New Groove
- July 12 at Sapperton Park: The LEGO Movie.
- July 19 in Moody Park: The Avengers
- July 25 19-plus night at Westminster Pier Park: Bohemian Rhapsody.
