As B.C.'s biggest celebration of Philippine arts and cultural heritage, the Philippine Days Festival offers a variety of Filipino cuisine, arts, and entertainment.
Coinciding with the anniversary of Philippine Independence of June 12, 1898, the festival will feature a number of song and dance stage performances, field parade demonstrations, and various products and businesses. In addition, the event will have a traditional “Barrio Fiesta” atmosphere and offer a smorgasbord of delectable Filipino foods. In fact, there will be over 75 food and merchandise booths situated all around the park.
While the event attracts guests from across the Lower Mainland, many people also travel from neighbouring provinces and the United States to attend the annual festival. Each year, over 20,000 people attend the two-day event.
The festival kicks off on Saturday, June 8 at 10 a.m. at the Waterfront Park in North Vancouver.
