New West may have a bit role in the Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas lineup.
It was beginning to look a lot like Christmas when filming of a scene for the upcoming TV movie Sealed with a List took place on Columbia Street on Wednesday Oct. 4. Props included a Christmas tree, snow (real and fake) and oversized ornaments.
The show is set to debut on the Hallmark Channel on Saturday, Dec. 16.
Katie Findlay, whose past Hallmark projects include Love Strikes Twice and The Bridge, stars alongside Evan Roderick, who has appeared in Hallmark’s A Tale of Two Christmases (2022) and Aurora Teagarden Mysteries.
“This holiday season, festive Carley (Findlay) sets out to conquer her list of abandoned resolutions from last year,” said a synopsis about the movie. “Aided by co-worker Wyatt (Roderick), she finds love and confidence to chase her dreams.”
Lucie Guest, an actor, director, and writer, is directing Sealed With a Kiss. Her many credits include acting and directing a number of Hallmark movies.
Sites around New Westminster have long been home to filming of a wide variety of feature films, TV movies and series, and commercials, including: Supernatural; The X-Files; Once Upon a Time; The Good Doctor; Riverdale; Psych; Godzilla; Diary of a Wimpy Kid; and The Twilight Saga. Past Hallmark Christmas movies that have filmed in New West have included A Gift for Christmas (2017) and Once Upon a Holiday (2015).
