Metro Vancouver streets will be transformed into Gotham City for filming on a popular TV show this week.
Filming continues on the CW's Batwoman TV show in New Westminster, complete with atmospheric smoke and bright lights.
The popular show stars actress Javicia Leslie as Batwoman, and local fans have shared numerous images of the star in the city.
A resident notification letter from Renraw Production Services states that filming was slated to take place on Nov. 4 on Clarkson St. between Begbie and McKenzie streets as well as Lorne Mews at Clarkson St.
The scenes called for exterior dialogue as well as lights on stands that will make the area seem brighter. However, there will be no gunfire.
Downtown New Westminster is a population filming location for the company, which will continue to film in the area in the coming weeks.

Other shows filming in the city
In October, a massive, fire engine red penis and vagina slide — yes, you read that correctly — was erected in a Lower Mainland playground. Many people compared the eyebrow-raising prop to a statue that stood in Vancouver several years ago: a tall, bright-red statue of the prince of darkness sporting a large erection.
According to Hollywood North Buzz, the phallic slide was part of a set for a new untitled comedy about "four Asian-American women searching for one of their birth mothers in all the wrong places."
Crazy Rich Asians screenwriter Adele Lim is writing the R-rated flick, which stars Ashley Park (Emily in Paris). The movie also stars Sherry Cola, Stephanie Hsu, and Sabrina Wu.
Earlier this week, a resident notification letter from JFC Productions Inc. stated that filming for the production would take place at Aura Nightclub at 1180 Granville Street Tuesday through Thursday.
