Have you seen this massive mural on East Hastings near Pigeon Park? I'm not sure if it's been commissioned by anybody but I doubt it.
It's made out of a bunch of 11"x14" printouts on paper all pieced together like a puzzle. Such an amazing, low budget solution to making a huge, DIY mural. Granted it's falling down but I love seeing this sort of installation.
