It's called the Wrex Coast Tour.

Wrexham AFC from Wales, the team owned by Vancouver's Ryan Reynolds, will play the Whitecaps at BC Place on July 27.

It's not often that a Welsh soccer team from a town of about 65,000 tours the west coast of North America, but Wrexham AFC has a special Vancouver connection.

Owned by Vancouver's Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, Wrexham has booked a trio of games, including one against the Whitecaps.

On July 27 Wrexham, currently in EFL League Two (though they're in the midst of being promoted to ELF League One) will be playing the local MLS team in a friendly match at BC Place.

Tickets for the general public go on sale at noon on April 25.

Prior to playing in Vancouver, Wrexham will be playing the English Premier League teams Chelsea and AFC Bournemouth in California (Santa Clara and Santa Barbara, respectively).

Wrexham, one of the oldest association soccer teams in the world, jumped from relative obscurity to a world famous team when McElhenney and Reynolds purchased it a couple of years ago, using their public prominence to raise the team's profile.

Since they became co-chairman of the team's board, Wrexham has been promoted twice and gained fame internationally.
