Vancouver's Ryan Reynolds has been compared to Welsh royalty for his generosity.
The actor is known for giving back and helping others, and recently won an award for his dedication to philanthropy.
But Reynolds' kindness isn't limited to humanitarian efforts.
The Vancouver-born actor, who co-owns the Welsh soccer club Wrexham AFC with Rob McElhenney, recently donated to another Wrexham soccer team.
The U-12 futsal team FC United of Wrexham received a surprise donation of over 1,000 pounds from the Canadian celebrity after he found out that the team was raising money for new kits.
Reynolds also sent a heartwarming message to one of the players, Keegan Barton, who has been going through hardships since his father's death.
Following news of his generosity, several locals and onlookers have hailed Reynolds as the "true Prince of Wales" for how much he's given back to the town.
In response, Reynolds shared a true story, and what seems like a full-circle moment, about his life in Vancouver.
"I went to Prince of Wales High School in Vancouver for three years," he says, adding that he switched schools after his Vice Principal asked Reynolds to "go find a different high school."
Perhaps Reynolds' ties to Wales go way back.
