Vancouver is an awesome place, just ask Sam Smith.
The "Unholy" singer made a stop in town to perform their Gloria tour at Rogers Arena last night (Aug. 22). During their visit, Smith got a taste of Vancouver's reputable food scene too.
The singer dined at the Chinatown location of Fat Mao, calling the restaurant "the one" on Instagram.
The noodle shop is known for its tasty menu of street-food-inspired noodle soups and share-ables inspired by the chef-owner's travels in Asia. Fat Mao opened a second location last fall.
During the concert, featuring Jessie Reyez as the opening act, Smith took a moment to shout out Vancouver.
"I can't tell you how much I love this place. I love this city so much," they said onstage.
They also donned a Canucks Pride jersey for part of the show.
