While there will be a multitude of alcoholic beverages on the menu, this annual event is a far cry from the average cocktail party.
The Science of Cocktails at the Telus World of Science offers a unique opportunity to see some of the industry's most passionate mixologists work their alchemy on classic favourites as well as inspired new concoctions.
"We are changing the shape of water through the application of heat," said Kevin Browlee, Bacardi Portfolio Ambassador for British Columbia, as he expertly blends a scotch beverage.
"When we finish it will smell like a campfire and taste like delicious Dewar's scotch whiskey with honey lemon and ginger."
Browlee will be just one of 25 professional bartenders displaying their talents at the February 7 event. In addition, some of Vancouver’s best catering groups and restaurants, like The Dirty Apron, The Lazy Gourmet, and Glowbal Group, will serve up scrumptious morsels.
From gin to vodka, scotch to tequila, the offerings span the full spectrum of spirits, but with inspired twists.
General tickets sold out quickly for the popular event, but there are still VIP tickets available. The exclusive pass allows you to have access to the VIP lounge, premium cocktail offerings, passed canapés service, valet parking, a special themed take-away gift, a charitable tax receipt for $150, as well as an hour early access to all of the bars.
Have a look at some of the presentations you can expect on the big night.
