I already shared this news with you but things go by pretty quickly on the blog lately so you might have missed it. And they just sent out a press release today with more information about it, soooo....
The official word is:
Paul Anthony's Talent Time celebrates Vancouver's 125th birthday with an extremely rare live performance from YouTube sensation Ligia Oancea (pronounced Luh-jee-a Won-cha).
On Wednesday, April 6th, Oancea will appear on a live taping of Paul Anthony’s Talent Time. Vancouver’s only televised talent show, this month’s Talent Time is celebrating Vancouver’s 125th birthday.
"This city is so special," says the Romanian-born entertainer. "There are songs written about New York, San Francisco and Chicago - but I was surprised there are no popular songs written about Vancouver, so I wrote one!"
The last time she performed it live was at the Olympic torch relay in West Vancouver, where she was joined by a choir of 450 students.
Paul Anthony, creator and host of Talent Time, approached Oancea about being on the show. “Ligia’s song captures her sincere excitement for Vancouver,” he explains. “It’s a reminder of how inspiring can be".

In addition to Oancea’s performance, Talent Time's bash for Vancouver’s 125th will also feature: comedians Emmett Hall (Sunday Service) and Cam Macleod (ManHussey); one-man-house-band Devon Lougheed; “cover-charge piñata;” prize giveaways and more! It’s all happening Wednesday April 6th at the Biltmore Cabaret - exactly 125 years to the day since our city’s incorporation!
Now in its fourth year, Paul Anthony’s Talent Time is Vancouver’s only local televised talent show. Tapings in front of a live studio audience take place at 9:00pm (Doors at 8) on the first Wednesday of the month at The Biltmore Cabaret (2755 Prince Edward St., Vancouver) and are later broadcast on the Novus Network. This event IS open to the public. Tickets are available for $8 at the door.
