Vancouver's best-dressed, boozy horse race is back!
The Cup, formerly known as The Deighton Cup, is making a comeback this summer after a two-year hiatus and the best-dressed guest can win a cash prize of $10,000 and the honour of judging next year's competition.
The fashionable horse race is taking place July 23 and will feature the Style Stakes style competition, live music, local art, craft cocktails and eight horse races to watch and bet on.
Though there will be one winner in the Style Stakes competition, all event attendees will get a chance to capture and enter their look at the Style Stakes Portrait Studio.
The Cup will also have special pop-ups like a mid-century modern Cigar Lounge, a Mint Julep Experience and a Rosé Garden, all of which will feature crafted cocktails and drinks. The Rosé Garden will also have a Risotto Party Pop-Up by Chef Alessandro Vianello.
“Seeing the city come back to life and celebrate in grand style has inspired us to deliver the best day at the races yet. Show off your personal style and have fun with it. Of course, the food, champagne and thundering horses are always the perfect backdrop,” says event organizer, Dax Droski, in a press release.
Tickets are can be purchased online for individuals and groups of up to 30 people.
