A convoy of armoured vehicles rolled through downtown Vancouver to film scenes of The Last of Us.
The HBO zombie drama stars Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent), Bella Ramsey (Game of Thrones), Young Mazino (Beef), and Nico Parker (Dumbo) and has been filming its second season in the city for the past few months.
On Friday, the B.C. Ministry of Transportation advised that West 16th Avenue between Blanca Street and Wesbrook Mall would close to all vehicular traffic from Sunday, Sept. 15 at 5 a.m. until Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 1 a.m. TransLink posted information about the detours for commuters, including two affected bus routes (see slide two).
Anyone travelling to and from the UBC campus during the closure should plan for additional travel time.
A local who uses the handle @MSTakesPictures on social media shared numerous photos and videos from the film set over the weekend on X, formerly Twitter, including several showing weathered-looking picture vehicles and signage.

She also recorded a video of the crew driving through downtown Vancouver in picture vehicles, including army tanks and other armoured military transport.
YVRShoots reports that the convoy rolling through the city is called the "WLF (Washington Liberation Front)" and that Vancouver plays Seattle in the scene.
The main shoot was located on the 1000 block of West Hastings Street for this portion of the series' filming.
The local photographer also shared multiple photos of the military convoy arriving on set.
Locals have also photographed and filmed several stars from the hit show on set during its shoot in Metro Vancouver.
In August, a New Westminster resident shared photos of Bella Ramsey, who plays Ellie, and Young Mazino, who plays Jesse. The latter actor was just recently added to the star-studded lineup.
