It’s almost Christmas, and Metrotown mall has a variety of “diverse Santa Claus experiences” planned for this year’s family holiday photoshoots.
You can “choose the perfect Santa for your family” when you get your holiday photos taken, according to a press release.
Dun Che Lao Ren, “Christmas Old Man,” will be available for photos this month, whom the mall is dubbing “Global Santa.”
Jolly Kris Kringle will also be available to meet, as well as Father Christmas with a snow-white beard.
After Christmas, you can dress in your best tropical attire and meet “Tropical Santa,” a Santa who’s on a getaway trip on post-holiday travels from Dec. 27 to 30.
Partial proceeds from the Santa photos will be donated to the Burnaby Christmas Bureau.
“We’re thrilled to introduce a new way to experience Santa and the magic of the holidays this year at Metropolis at Metrotown,” Amanda Chung, the mall’s marketing manager, said in the release.
“We want our offerings to be as diverse as our shoppers, and that includes multiple versions of Santa that expand our ideas of who Santa is, what he can be, and how he fits into people’s unique holiday traditions.”
While you’re at the mall, you can get your presents gift-wrapped from Dec. 1 to 24, which will support Burnaby Neighbourhood House.
The Burnaby Firefighters Charitable Society will host a toy drive for the Burnaby Christmas Bureau, which will give toys to local families.
See the mall's website for more information.
