Here's how you can see a movie at a local art gallery this month

The Vancouver Art Gallery is launching a new programming series called "Between Bites" which will kick off on Jan. 26 with the screening of documentary "Letter To A'Ma" by Hui-Ling Chen.

Vancouverites can go see a movie at an art gallery this month. 

The Vancouver Art Gallery is launching a new programming series called "Between Bites: Film + Food" which will treat visitors to a screening and food from local restaurants. 

The series will kick off on Jan. 26 with the documentary Letter To A'Ma by Hui-Ling Chen in celebration of the Lunar New Year. The film commemorates Taiwan's complex history and postcolonial identity through art.  

During the documentary screening, visitors can try Taiwanese cuisine from local restaurant A. Bento.

Admission to the Jan. 26 event includes one bento box and a non-alcoholic drink. Registration for the screening ends on Jan. 23.
