Vancouver beach transformed with surfboards for TV show's tropical film set

Locals could not access parts of the beach during filming.

A recent film production on Stanley Park's Third Beach included surfboards and tropical decor.

Upload stars Robbie Amell as a man who chooses his afterlife after his "untimely death by having his consciousness uploaded into a virtual world," according to Imdb.com.

Reunion Upload Productions Inc. notified residents of filming on Stanley Park's Third Beach on Monday, Sept. 16, noting that scenes would involve "extensive set dressing."

Locals could not access parts of the beach during filming.

A Vancouverite who uses the handle @SabaLovesDean on X, formerly Twitter, shared a pair of photos on X, formerly Twitter, including one that shows some surfboards on the set (see slide four).

The other photo is a sign indicating where the production took place on the beach (see slide three).

A picture shared by Vancouverite Lukáš Lyžičiar on Monday shows a tropical-looking decor with white cabanas and thatched-roof beach huts.

Robbie Amell shares snap of Upload cast in Vancouver

Amell shared a photo on Instagram of the cast together in Vancouver to film the final season (see slide two).

"The [fourth] and final season of Upload is officially underway," he wrote in an Instagram post. "This is a little bittersweet, but we are so excited to get to finish telling this story. No cliffhanger this season!.. Well, maybe a small one.

"Thank you so much to everyone who has supported this show."
