Vancouver traffic advisory: Film set to cause delays downtown

Local parkades, tour buses, business access, and public transit will be prioritized at all times.

Locals may want to avoid driving through part of downtown Vancouver this weekend.

Filmgroup.tv notified people in the downtown core that they would film scenes on Saturday, Sept 21 from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

From 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., the crew will film some driving work and "dynamic establishing shots" of the company's picture cars at the intersection of Dunsmuir and Thurlow, and street level on the 1100 block of Melville Street.

From 3 to 10 p.m., the crew will conduct driving scenes with the picture vehicles travelling south on Thurlow Street and also along the 1000 block of West Cordova, inside and outside of the tunnel.

The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) will be on-site to assist with intermittent traffic holds at the Melville/Thurlow intersection and Thurlow Street while filming is in progress.
