Calling all knitters, crocheters, and fibre arts fans: Woolith Fair is happening later this month. The three-day yarn crawl across Metro Vancouver and surrounding communities is all about shopping local and supporting the region's many yarn makers and vendors.
Organized by the West Coast Knitters’ Guild, Woolith Fair 2019 features 23 participating yarn shops and fibre arts-related businesses. The event is open to everyone, and simply encourages yarn enthusiasts to hit up as many of these spots as possible.
Stitch together your own three days of yarn-seeking adventuring, and make sure to print out a copy of the official Woolith Fair "passport." At every participating stop, Fair-goers can collect an official stamp; the more stamps you get, the more cool swag you can be entered to win. Details about the passport and link to download it are on the Woolith Fair site.
In Vancouver, participating spots include Sweet Georgia in South Vancouver, Wet Coast Wools in Kitsilano, and Baad Annas in Hastings-Sunrise, as well as several others. If you're up to venture further, there are shops in North Vancouver, Richmond, Langley, Surrey, Delta, New Westminster, and beyond to check out this year. Here's a map of Woolith Fair stops:
